Where Construction Meets Motocross
P1 Construction is proud to partner with British motocross rider Josh Spinks. The partnership developed naturally through Josh’s coaching relationship with Curtis Taylor and a shared passion for motocross with P1 founder Mike Taylor.
Josh has competed at both British and European level throughout his racing career.
In 2018, he competed in the FIM European Motocross EMX250 Championship, qualifying from a field of 60 riders to make the top 40 race entry. He went on to secure an overall podium finish – marking one of the biggest achievements of his racing career.
The 2026 Championship Season
In 2025, Josh secured the Bridgestone Championship title for the season. Looking ahead to 2026, he returns with the support of the P1 Racing Team to compete in the Plews Motocross Championship. The season runs from March through to autumn and features some of the UK’s leading professional riders.
Josh will test a new setup on the Yamaha YZ250 2-stroke fitted with a BRC 500cc conversion kit – a rare and unconventional setup that offers a different riding experience compared to the modern 450cc 4-stroke bikes that dominate the class.
While the 4-strokes are known for their smooth and consistent power delivery, the larger 2-stroke delivers a more aggressive and demanding riding experience, creating a unique technical and competitive challenge.
This project is focused on exploring the capabilities of the bike whilst continuing to enjoy the sport.
At P1 Construction we move earth every day.
Josh just does it at 60 miles an hour.
