Porterbrook Underpass Project

Design & Build
Underpass, drainage, roads and associated infrastructure delivered by P1.
P1 Construction designed and built a new multi-lane underpass at the Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre, replacing the existing level crossing and creating a key access route for the site’s redevelopment.
The scheme included the excavation of over 100,000m³ of material, installation of a 25m pre-cast concrete structure, road construction, drainage, utilities and associated infrastructure. Completed within an exceptionally demanding timescale, the underpass was opened ahead of a major project milestone, allowing rail, signalling and electrification activities to continue as planned.
